FSX and reverting back to FS9

Featured Replies

Guys just curious are there more of you with the same experience?I have FSX installed but that's all about it, still buying new add-ons for FS9 and enjoying it actually more that FSX...FS9 running with all sliders to the right and traffic 100% and cloud coverage 100% is real fun :-) and great FPSJust the performance issues forcing me back with the first detailed add-on and FMC with 15 FPS on EHAM and in the air 24 fps...Running a 7950GT 512MB and Core duo2 E6600 which actually has no problem with all different kind of software... only FSX...That means that we are going to develop too for FS9 the upcoming 24 months lolI actually like both sims but FS9 is far more mature to me and FSX has new technology which I like but still immature compared to my beloved FS9Andr

I have to say that I'm an not ready to give up my beloved FS9 as well! I finally have it running good on my machine; Albeit 2 years later! So with that being said I have yet to purchase FSX. Although its only a mere $50-$70, I just cant bring myself to purchase an unfinished product again! Nor do I want to wait another 2 years to have it perform well on modern technology; If this will even be the case this time around? Maybe someday I will Buy FSX upon the heals of FSXI. As for now FS9 suits me just fine! Not to developers:(Keep them addons for FS9 coming:)Chrisopinion: (my tweaking days ended with FS9)

Me too Andre. I'm still using FS9 90+% of the time and it looks like it's going to be that way for a long time unless the ACES guys can pull off a miracle with the non-DX10 performance patch. Just too much good stuff with FS9 to let it go (LDS 763, PMDG 744, etc.).Doug

Although FSX has some issues, after just the first day or two of using it I knew I could never go back to FS9. FSX just has so much going for it with the improved planes, flight dynamics, scenery, traffic, airports, weather, ect... my FS9 is just gathering dust. But to each his own.Regards,Mark>Guys just curious are there more of you with the same>experience?>>I have FSX installed but that's all about it, still buying new>add-ons for FS9 and enjoying it actually more that FSX...>>FS9 running with all sliders to the right and traffic 100% and>cloud coverage 100% is real fun :-) and great FPS>>Just the performance issues forcing me back with the first>detailed add-on and FMC with 15 FPS on EHAM and in the air 24>fps...>>Running a 7950GT 512MB and Core duo2 E6600 which actually has>no problem with all different kind of software... only FSX...>>That means that we are going to develop too for FS9 the>upcoming 24 months lol>>I actually like both sims but FS9 is far more mature to me and>FSX has new technology which I like but still immature>compared to my beloved FS9>>Andr

The only add-on I have in FSX is the RW/FeelThere B777 (patch from FS9), which works with bad performance. My system is a 4800+ dual core with 2GB memory, and a 7600GT (7950 on the way). But even then, with effectively all my add-ons in FS9, I still have trouble going back after experiencing the flight models in FSX. I've taken to flying the C172 (what I actually fly) and looking around at scenery with it, or the Baron if I need more altitude. Bruce.
