Takeoff Call-outs Should be in MSFS

Featured Replies

There does not appear to be a MSFS setting that will cause the co-pilot to call out (when appropriate during takeoff): "80 knots (100 knots?)," "V1," "V2," "Rotate," "Positive Rate," and, "Gear Up" (when the captain raises the gear).  I believe this is a serious omission by MSFS.

I'm surprised this oversight hasns't raised more objections among simmers. The absence of these is a big gap in simulation realism when we take off in sophisticated airplanes.  No significant airline flight in the world takes off without this call-out regime.  It is universally used and, hopefully, Asobo will include it in an upcoming upgrade.  Thanks for any input.--Lee Graves

Fella, we have a simulator where the autopilot doesn't work properly and the ground physics are all wrong and you think automated callouts are a "serious omission"?

No default airliner in the history of MS has ever had these...

...this is 3rd party territory.

In P3D, the 3rd party addons FSLabs, PMDG and Leonardo added them to their packages. I am going to guess that FBW might have this in their plans sooner or later.

I've just taken off in FBW A320 and it has the 80 knots/V1/V2 callouts....
