January 23, 20215 yr After loading an aircraft onto the runway, what is the most convenient way to switch and /or reload the aircraft in MSFS? Thanks, Al Edited January 23, 20215 yr by ark

Currently, the only way to switch aircraft without exiting the flight or runway is to have developer mode enabled as that allows you to switch aircraft on the fly. Be aware, however, that your flight isn't recorded in your Logbook whilst in Dev Mode. Also crash detection is disabled and it is a wee bit buggy occasionally spawning you with zero fuel or in some featureless alt reality with no scenery at all (prob why it is hidden in dev mode and not a main feature) , Good work around though , you can even change aircraft mid air providing your current airspeed is appropriate for the new plane. I'll look into how to do that in Developer Mode. In P3D after making a change, say in an aircraft panel.cfg file, you can reload the plane (or even switch planes) at any time and in just a few seconds. Seems to me MSFS needs something like that. I don't log sim flights (did enough of that in real life) so that's not an issue for me. Ending up with no fuel may be a problem, however. 😉 Thanks for the help, Al Edited January 23, 20215 yr by ark
