January 26, 20215 yr Hi all- As you can see in the pic, I'm getting giant white squares in addition to black squares around the nav lights (occasionally). This is at KSAN, but shows at other airports as well. Reinstalled the latest version, reverted to original Effects folder (which removed the updated dynamic lights package), disabled EnvShade, disabled airport DL, so, not sure what's causing this unless it's something really simple. Thanks, Mark
January 26, 20215 yr What sim? If you haven't tried it, after making all the changes you listed above, you could try backing up and then deleting the Shader file and letting it rebuild when the sim starts up again. Al Edited January 26, 20215 yr by ark

Did this problem seem to start happening for no apparent reason, or did you make some kind of change -- updated your GPU driver, added some hardware or some new software, changed a sim setting, anything at all come to mind? Couple of thoughts: Do the white/black squares go away if you turn off all the lights? Has this happened at a default airport (less graphic intensive), or does it seem to mainly happen with an addon airport (more graphic intensive)? I haven't seen this reported by anyone else, at least not yet. I'll ask Mark to take a look to see if he has any ideas. Al Edited January 26, 20215 yr by ark
January 26, 20215 yr Author Thanks Al. I’ll look at this more tomorrow morning and let you know. What I’m thinking of doing is a complete reinstall of V5. I went round-de-round with HiFi regarding a sim connect issue on a brand new install where they suggested that a complete reinstall turned out to be the final recommendation. Shoulda never left FSGRW 😣 Anyway, thanks for the help.

January 29, 20215 yr Author Completed an uninstall as in removing EVERYTHING, installed the 35 and white and black squares are gone. Have not installed the lighting update. Or anything else for that matter. P3D V5 sure runs nice as a vanilla install. After this uninstall/reinstall project, I’m going to be very selective regarding my addons that's for sure.
