January 30, 20215 yr Commercial Member Mon Capitaines, Let's all take a break from the Wall Street Bets forum on Reddit and talk about FS2Crew instead for a moment... 1. FS2Crew for the CRJ and FS2Crew for the QW 787: I just released a small update for these two products. We discovered a line of code that could cause some users to experience a non-clean shutdown when they exited MSFS/FSX. Some users talked about this before. I could never reproduce it, but I think we nailed it anyway. The CRJ and 787 update is currently up on the FS2Crew servers and Simmarket. Aerosoft and other 3rd party vendors will have it next week. Other FS2Crew's that could benefit from this small change will be updated next week. I don't want to release too many updates at the same time as that can be hard to manage and things could go south easily if you try to do too many things at once. 2. The mighty PMDG 777: The Big Randowski over at PMDG has stated that the 777 is getting a full makeover and will be when it's ready. The FS2Crew 777 update from P3D V4 to V5 will likely be free, since, hopefully -key word, hopefully-, it appears all we need to do update the config managers. We're crossing our fingers that everything will otherwise work out of the box. We'll probably need some of you to help beta test to ensure everything still works. Stay tuned... 3. Pushback Express: Our most popular MSFS product is constantly being enhanced. Our goal now is porting the code that allows us to drive the tug along a pre-defined path into C# from C++. It's a pretty big job, but very do-able. Once we have that, then we should be able to automatically push your aircraft back to the taxi line by itself and bring in our animated people. Stay tuned... 4. RAAS for MSFS: Stay tuned.... 5. Secret Project: Stay tuned.... 6. A reminder: I get a lot of emails about this so I'll remind everyone again. Download protection is free. You don't need to worry about your download limit. We use download limits to prevent some 12 year-old from from posting his login info on the internet, and then we have a million people downloading from his account causing chaos with our server. What's more, updates are built into the FS2Crew main installer only. There is no stand-alone updater. To obtain an update, login to your FS2Crew account and click "Completed Orders". You should see your product listed there. Click it and you'll see a download link. Do not use Google Translate as that can sometimes cause the download link not to appear in your FS2Crew account. If you purchased from somewhere other than FS2Crew, say, via Simmarket, Aerosoft, etc., then you need to login to your account there and re-download the main product again. 7. New product announcement: FS2Crew for the Fly by Wire A32NX. We're building it side by side with the MSFS CRJ version. They will be our first "voice controlled" flight crew programs. The FBW A320 version is heavily customized to seamlessly fit within the awesome FBW A32NX. As of this moment, we can control all the switches in the FBW A32NX, so the FO can now perform all his flows properly. Edited February 2, 20215 yr by byork B.
