Fresh new installation with Prepar3D V5

Featured Replies

Hi,
I have been away from simulator (again) for quite a time, since V4. Now I'm back with V5 and for the past 2 days only installing the addons. Currently the aircrafts and airports mostly done, for the AI Traffic I'm using AIG AIM OCI, installing all of them.

Are there any "must have" addons that I'm missing? I'm currently using Addon Organizer for the scenery, fsrealtime is not working in V5 yet... I will purchase the upgrade version of Activesky for the real time weather, which I believed is a must.

Thank you and stay safe during the Covid!

Hi Hoang,

Welcome back!

Simbrief (freeware; Donation optional) for flight planning and Orbx Volanta (currently free since its just been officially released ) for the flight tracking and post flight monitoring if you are flying tubeliners.

Since you mentioned AI, there's some neat AI utilities that you may want to consider  to smooth out those AI irregularities in P3D. There's a freeware tool available here called ATC API and the developer, Federico, is really helpful and further enhancing its capabilities.

Simtoolkitpro, is awesome and a great free/donation addon.  A must in my books.
