February 7, 20215 yr I tried asking this in the MS forum, but didn't get a useful reply, so I thought I'd try here. For everyone who has physical or virtual detents set up, how do you handle them in FS? I have physical detents on my Virpil CM3 throttle set at 4% for idle/off and 72% for AB. In DCS , it is easy to sort this, so that planes without finger lifts and afterburners throttle range can just be set to 4-72%. In FS that doesn’t seem to be possible. What I don’t want is to be permanently going over detents just to get full travel in planes in FS, I just want to tell MS that the 0-100% virtual travel is 4-72% in physical travel. I saw a recommendation to use FSUIPC for this, and although that would work, it’s a 30EUR purchase just to recalibrate (or redefine travel limits) on 2 throttles. Just wondering how others here are handling this. Thanks.

February 7, 20215 yr Could try Axis and Ohs from Lorby, there is a demo version available. https://axisandohs.weebly.com/ MSFS & XP11 - Aviatek G1000 Complex Desktop Trainer - Fulcrum One Yoke - TPR Rudder Pedals - VF TQ6 Throttle - LG 55" OLED Display
February 7, 20215 yr FSUIPC is the best. Yes, expensive, but well worth it for a variety of reason. I have B737 quadrant that I wouldn't be able to run without it. I can set the detents, and they work as advertised. Rich Boll Richard Boll Wichita, KS
February 8, 20215 yr Author Thanks a lot, guys. I tried out Axis and Ohs, and that was nice and simple and certainly does what I was looking for. I also trialled FSUIPC7, and although it clearly can do what I want as well, I found it to be very complex and difficult to understand. The manuals are written almost for coders, and, IMO, not at all user friendly. It looks like hours of study is required. Nothing wrong with that, but maybe not what I need atm. I liked the way that A&O automatically recognised the different aircraft, and all in all it was easy to configure. All I am concerned about is that maybe going forward when I get more into this, that it will show its limitations, and that I really should have gone for FSUIPC.
February 8, 20215 yr Author Guys, can anyone help me with virtual buttons in FSUIPC7? I think I've set up the HidDemo.lua file OK by editing it, adding my VID and PID and adding in the [Auto] lines OK in the ini file. Can't see how to add an attachment here, so I can't post the log. I can't see any errors in it, but how do I actually see (or assign) the virtual buttons in FSUIPC to get round the 32 button limit it has.? Thanks.

That’s something that never worked for me, so I just used Vjoy and joystick gremlin instead.
February 8, 20215 yr Author I know it’s good for some people, but I really don’t get on with vjoy and Gremlin, but thanks anyway.
