February 8, 20215 yr Hi everyone! As the title says i have been experiencing huge lag spikes that last anywhere from 6-9 secondsevery 30-40 seconds or so. It kind of makes it unplayable. The weird thing is that i dont teleport forward or anything like that, it just continues from where it left of. I'm using P3D v 4.5, any replies would be appriciated 🙂

Did this suddenly start happening? Did you install new scenery, airplane? Is your CPU or GPU overheating? Are you running out of RAM, or VRAM? etc Edited February 8, 20215 yr by Bert Pieke Bert
February 9, 20215 yr Author Well my specs are: 3080, 5900x, 32 gb 3600 hz 18cl and they do not overheat but the gpu is at about 90% usage Yes is istalled p3d like a week ago and i have also been trying to fix it but from what i can remember it just started happening out of the blue. Im definitely not running out of ram and my processor is cooled by an aio, it does not overheat.
February 10, 20215 yr My first guess is it is pausing to load in scenery. You have a nice system but having a high LOD area with lots of detail can cause those issues. IF you drop your terrain distance and autogen down does the problem for the most part go away? If so then your system is unable to process/load scenery quick enough to stay smooth. But yes there could be several factors causing the issue. Flight Simulator's - Prepar3d V5/MSFS | Operating System - WIN 11 | Main Board - GIGABYTE X870E Aorus Elite WIFI7 | CPU - AMD 9800X3D | RAM - CORSAIR 64GB 6600Mhz | Video Card - EVGA RTX3090 FTW3 Ultra | Monitor - DELL 38" Ultrawide | Case - CORSAIR 750D Full Tower | CPU Cooling - CORSAIR H170i Elite LCD 420mm Push/Pull | Power Supply - EVGA 1000 G+ | Sound System - Definitive Technology ProMonitor 600 w/subwoofer
