I was perusing the freeware files a bit today...and came across a few interesting "Sim Objects"...

Two images each of the 4 items and notes, are below. Enjoy...!

B727-200 Iberia Boeing 727-256, Classic livery. Note the profuse (exhaust) smoke of this (JT8D-9 powered) Trijet...! Here is this Boeing's life in a nutshell, "The aircraft was built and acquired in U.S. with registration N1787B, then operated, in Iberia colors, as EC-CBA (as in images, below). It was discharged in Spain May 11 (1973), and sold (back) in USA, on April 04 (2001), and re-enrolled as N905RF for Republic Advanced Freighter."

This is the Howard 250 Trigear. After the WWII was over, many Lockheed Model 18 Lodestars were overhauled and returned to civilian service, mostly as executive transports such as Howard Aero's Howard 250. A few of these Howard 250s were converted to tricycle landing gear (as seen in images below: note the 3rd nose gear, here, whereas the standard Howard 250 was a Taildragger). BTW, it is worth noting, Howard Aero's founder Dee Howard, in the early 1960’s, worked with Bill Lear, during the development of the first business jet aircraft which became the Learjet and Dee produced the first full-scale mock-up of the Learjet in his hangar in San Antonio, TX, thus starting the (famous) line of that BizJet, (since 1990, called Bombardier Learjet, and the (current) in-production variants being "Learjet 70/75").

The Russian (leisure) airline Red Wings has embarked on an ambitious project to operate 60 Sukhoi Superjets (SSJ 100) By 2024. The Ilyushin Finance-owned airline wants to transform itself by using a Russian-made fleet of aircraft. Red Wings also operates seven Tupolev Tu-204 narrowbody aircraft. The primary (niche market) competitor is Airbus A220, a narrow-body airliner (originally) designed by Bombardier Aerospace as the Bombardier CSeries. I've also shown an (extra) image of the Bombardier CS300, in jetBlue livery, for comparison.

SS Canberra was an ocean liner, which later operated on cruises, from 1961 to 1997. She was built at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Northern Ireland, (same place where the Titanic was built), and was named on 17 March 1958, after the federal capital of Australia, Canberra. She entered service in May 1961, and made her maiden voyage starting in June. This vessel with its ultra modern design, was during her maiden voyage, the most powerful passenger ship, equipped with steam turbines and electrical transmission. She served as ocean liner between Great Britain and Australia from 1961-1972. After a modernization she also served as a cruise ship from 1974-1997.

Here is a bit of an interesting fact. SS Canberra appeared in the 1971 James Bond film "Diamonds Are Forever". The film was partially filmed on board this Canberra in 1971. Now, (only) if you're a James Bond fan,...🙂,...please take up on my recommendation video clip below (in memory of Sir Sean Connery, too)....

Search for the clip (3m:41s): "Diamonds Are Forever - Mr Wint and Mr Kidd clip"
"Their final attempt to kill Bond and Case takes place on the SS Canberra cruise liner after Bond foils Blofeld's plot. They pose as stewards in the couple's suite, serving them a romantic dinner under the instructions of Willard Whyte; the meal consists of Oysters Andaluz, shashlik, tidbits, prime rib au jus and Salade Utopia. Dessert is La Bombe Surprise — in the most literal sense..."

It's always a pleasure to see such beautiful pics! 😉

The sleek pointy nose of the Howard 250 seems at odds with the rest of the plane's design. Not bad looking though!
