February 20, 20215 yr Hello brothers and sisters; I have a question about Vatsim's ATC in VR. I just ordered the HP Reverb G2. Moreover, I am trying to learn Vatsim ATC procedures and verbiage. My question: when ATC gives instructions, I normally right them down and repeat back. However, with the G2 on my face, I can not see the paper or my writing for reading back. Does anyone have any suggestions? I really need to write down ATC instruction to repeat back, but if I can not see anything other than the G2 view, how am I to record and read back?

Very near impossible without breaking the immersion at the moment. This is just one of the problems I’ve encountered whilst using VR.

February 21, 20215 yr If it's any help - and I appreciate doing this to a brand new device isn't everybody's cup-of-tea, and noses aren't all the same shape. The day I received the G2, I gently peeled the rubber nose arch off the face plate so that I could peek through and use the mouse and keyboard etc. It came off in one piece. I was used to doing this from using the Quest 1 which has a lot of space around the nose. I've since removed the face plate and done the FOV mod, intentionally leaving enough gap to peek through the nose arch. I can see well enough to read/write on a knee board with no problem. Any light that comes in through there is mostly out of view and generally doesn't bother me at all.
