No STARs at KORD

Featured Replies

Hi All, I can't seem to program any STARs going into FSDT's KORD, I am using Navigraph 2102, and was in the FBW A32NX, thanks

It's a bug- I dug into this a few months back. According to FSDT, it's a Navigraph issue. According to Navigraph, it's a MSFS issue. I think Navigraph's explanation makes sense. If an airport runways get added or taken away, it will show up in Navigraph's data. However, unless MSFS updates their core database with the new runway, it breaks sids/stars. MSFS's default data doesn't match the current situation at KORD, so everything gets bonked.

Thanks that really helps, so basically until asobo updates the database to include KORDs new runway I’ll just have to manually input the STAR waypoints?

Are all of the STARs in there if you use the default nav data? I don't have FSDT's KORD, and I don't fly to KORD often, so I don't know what is different about the runways with their version.

Looking and the Navigraph workaround, I wonder how this impacts those of us who switch out our add ons all the time with addon linker. For example, I have my paints and scenery in sub folders by continent, so I only load what I need for each flight to cut down on load times.

I have not messed around with the content.xml yet, but it sounds like the approach is similar to the FSX scenery library. If that's the case, doesn't the order of things get messed up every time and switch out addons in my community folder?

I had just the default Kord install with navigraph beta installed and had no sids or stars for Kord. So I went into the content.xml file with notepad and moved navigraph entry to the very bottom of the entries however because asobo Kord is missing a runway it did not work however when I install FDST Kord when I started up msfs it did a 500 mb download all for kord. It still didnt show the sids and stars and I had to go into the content.xml file again and sure enough the fdst kord entry was below the navigraph entry and I had to move it below the fdst Kord entry and now I have all the sids and stars showing on the flightplan page and also in the fmc of the fby320nx.
