Anyone using 737 MAX in MSFS 2020

Featured Replies

I purchased and used it for a number of flights.  It is currently in the hanger while I spend most of my time with the FBW 32A  MOD.  The 737 is not bad but right now I prefer to play with the Bus.  After the next Asobo update I will likely to fly it again.  My biggest complaint is the FMS/CDU is not all that good.  I expect that to improve.

My channel review of it. It's worth a punt so long as you temper your expectations.

As always, a very decent and unbiased review.

I was wondering whether MCE Fo can get access to MCP out of the box as it's not fully supported yet and may well be soon.

And what abou external lights?

By the way, liked the intro. Definitely the fifth Beattle in the making.😛. ( a decade too late maybe)

External lights can be commanded by the co-pilot. Most stuff works by default no problem in this 737, the odd thing does not, for example, my co-pilot can start the APU but he won't put the APU bleed on, in fact I think he thought I was swearing when I said 'APU bleed on' lol.

But I reckon all this would work with a bit of custom tweaking which I've not bothered to do yet, since reaching over and flipping the APU bleed switch is easier lol, so MCE is as fab as ever - pretty much the best FS add-on there is.

Actually, just updated MCE to the latest version and now it doesn't talk to the MSFS ATC any more. 🙁

First, thank you for feedback regarding MCE integration with the plane.

If you've used the patch for the upgrade, make sure you also replace the file "Simco64_Ldr.exe"(and others). Otherwise, re-download and install the full version

It broke following latest ASOBO update, but fixed since. See this thread

I'd already seen that post and tried it, it still doesn't work though.

Best to install MCE to default path and leave UAC at default settings.

If you put it somewhere else, may need to disabled UAC (not recommended).

If you have strong security, tell AV to trust "mce.exe" and "SImco64Ldr.exe" as they need to communicate with the sim.

Simco64_Ldr.exe latest version is 1.0.5.0 (where the fix is)

It's the gateway to MSFS.

I'll try doing a reinstall, but I'm pretty sure I did all of what you suggest.
