ATC didn't allow me to climb to cruise altitude

Today I did a flight from LFBD to EDJA:

My filed cruise altitude was FL430, and I got initially cleared for 4000, then 15000, then FL250. When I reached FL240 (this was before SAU) I was expecting to get the next clearance, but it never came... As you can see there were no waypoint / SID / airway altitude restrictions whatsoever. I tried to manually request my cruise altitude several times, but got not reply from ATC at all. And when I started to climb on my own I quickly got yelled at to descend back to FL250 again.

Also, since there was no way to continue like this, I disconnected P2A, reconnected, filed my plan again and contacted the center controller with 'with you at xxx'. I did get acknowledged, but that was about the only thing. It never picked up my flight again, no controller handovers, and no further ATC initiated contact or commands. So, what is the 'correct' procedure to make P2A control my flight again after a reconnect?

FWIW I repeated the same departure later on, and I got the exact same result, ATC only clearing me to FL250. So I think it's pretty reproducible, I do have the log file and the saved flight plan if this should be helpful.

Thanks!

Dirk

Just as an update, this has been fixed in the public beta. Outstanding support from Dave, as always.
