March 2, 20215 yr This feels very strange and I am very frustrated. So I had recently reformatted my computer to upgrade to windows 10, and I cannot seem to get the ASN DLC to work at all, I keep getting an error with the dll.xml not being verified, even when I manually put in ASN into the dll.xml. I have installed all three simconnects and done multiple reinstallations. When opening fsx I do not get the typical active sky mode on the weather page. I don't think it even installed despite it saying it installed every time I uninstalled and installed again. I am at a loss. I understand very few people use fsx anymore, but any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
March 2, 20215 yr If I remember correclty, there is another download for ASN you need to get from Steam. I think it was the UI itself. March 7, 20215 yr I just added ASN and REX4 to FSX SE this week. I bought it thru steam. Have you you used the configuration tool? If you got it thru steam, you have to change game tab at top left of steam page to tools then scroll down to active sky next configuration tool and run. My ASN worked like a charm after. If you purchased from somewhere else, you can get download from HIFI SIMULATIONS TECHNOLOGIES but you will need activation key. Make sure to start ASN 1st and simulator is set to clear weather. If you are using a different operating system, the registry may be getting confused. You may need to reload simulator and/or addons to a different file folder in drive. Google it, there are plenty of youtube videos and forums that may help. I'm waiting for bugs to be worked out of MS2020 before I commit. March 8, 20215 yr Just back from this also. I was provided new installers from HiFi, they were quite helpful even my purchases were scattered to various resellers. None of the downloaded versions from resellers worked or then they were not in correct order as I had always bought the upgrade only.
