March 2, 20215 yr Does P2ATC totally take over for FSX default ATC? Does it read flight plans created in default flight planner or is it better to use P2ATCs flight planner. Thanks
March 2, 20215 yr 1. Completely replaces default, though default is still there if you want it. 2. Suggest using simbrief for flight planning, but there are lots of ways of doing this. Oz Sim Rig: MSI RTX3090 Suprim, an old, partly-melted Intel 9900K @ 5GHz+, Honeycomb Alpha, Thrustmaster TPR Rudder, Warthog HOTAS, Reverb G2, Prosim 737 cockpit. Currently flying: MSFS: PMDG 737-700, Fenix A320, Leonardo MD-82, MIlviz C310, Flysimware C414AW, DC Concorde, Carenado C337. Prepar3d v5: PMDG 737/747/777. March 2, 20215 yr Author I checked out simbrief. Simbrief looks interesting although it does seem to be optimized for commercial flying. I do a lot of my simming in one of the A2A fleet I own. Bonanza, Skylane, Commanche. Or my twins, F1 B200, or C421 Golden Eagle. Only jet I use is Premier 390. Doesn't P2ATC have it's own flight planner?
March 2, 20215 yr Commercial Member Yes, P2A has its own flight planner. For long haul type flights, doing the plan in SimBrief or other tool and then importing to P2A is a good option. For GA type flights, the built in planner works great. The missing piece in P2A's planner is the automatic addition of airways. These can be imported or added manually. You should install the 10 day free trial and try the program out before you purchase it. Dave
March 2, 20215 yr Author I will do that as soon as I buy a headset. That would be a fun thing to do over a vacation without the work schedule to interupt.
