March 14, 20215 yr In the past, during Sim Market SALEs, I'd purchased a few airport sceneries, but, somehow, have forgotten to install a couple of them. Here is one that I got to install today, (LTAC) ANKARA ESENBOĞA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT by SCENERYTR (my first purchase from SCENERYTR). I was looking it up there, in Sim market, a bit, and did notice all 8 "User" reviews of this scenery to be ranked 5*, which, I guess is good, because, I am a believer of Reviews by "Users" (or "Verified Users" as noted there)...so, anyway, here, below, please find, a set of images, captured, from my quick (virtual) tour, around this Airport. Plus, regarding a classic Piper aircraft, I caught a few (RW/Private) Swiss repaints of PA-28-151 Cherokee Warrior (the painter must be fan of this Piper....🙂...), in the freeware upload files, today. The Readme notes, "Historically, the Piper Cherokee Warrior (150 HP) represents the leap from "Hershey Bar" wings to the tapered wings for all the future low-wing Cherokee lines that are still flying today." The reference, here, is to the fact that, originally, all Cherokees had a constant-chord, rectangular platform wing, popularly called the "Hershey Bar" wing because of its resemblance to the convex, rectangular chocolate bar. The tapered wing, in contrast, looks like a Cessna wing (e.g. 172). It's interesting to read accounts of Pilots who have flown both types (of Pipers), and, how, their (flight/lift) characteristics are different, for better or worse, (e.g. ground effects during landing). So, this Piper Warrior model was a significant transition point in the Piper (wing) design, going forward. The PA-28 Warriors, shown, below, (in these Swiss Reg. Blue/Green/Red paints), are lifting off LTAC Runway (03). Thanks for viewing...!!
