I was reluctant to buy into Steam but I couldn't resist a special for the Steam version for like $7(?). I thought curiosity would really kill this cat. But as it turned out Steam's not that bad. In fact it was easier to maintain and less problematic (I have two FSX copies on disks and each one simply errored out mid-way through their installation. On the other hand, I never had installation issues with the Steam version).  And you should have no problem running all your FSX goodies in Steam too. Nickn (the fsx bible guy at Simforums) and some others recommend the Steam version also, so you might want to try it out.

(I hope I'm not hijacking this thread). 
 


 

Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space.
Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).
