OpenGL fallback

Recommended Posts

HI

how to avoid the OpenGL fallback? I've updated the Nvidia (rtx2080) on Win10 driver and downloaded a fresh X-Plane 11.52 copy. It worked hurray but only until I changed some settings (forgot what it was).

Now again XP falls back to OpenGL every 4th or so start. I've reported the bug but got no response.

Any tips? I think it's retarded to fallback without mentioning why.

I suspect xp checks for newer drivers upon each start and if a newer is available, it falls back to opengl. 🤢

fallback happens when somethings breaks in vulkan.

biggest src of those is planes/sasl that use the opengl hooks.

No, I've just tried the default Baron and exactly on the 4th start it said "cannot use Vulkan driver". No hints why!

🤢😪Retarded🥵😡🤢

Are you swapping aircraft in sim or loading the sim each time?

Current build of XP really doesn't like reload aircraft or loading one aircraft after another without a restart.

No for testing simply loading the Baron without scenery. Close xp and start xp again. Falls back on 4th.
