April 14, 20215 yr I think you need to update the sim first by going to the Microsoft store and then starting the sim. The sim does not always do this automatically. This may be obvious, but I think if it's not done, it can cause problems. I once updated only through the sim and had problems.
April 14, 20215 yr mikegrr I have to negate that somewhat, as this is the only way I update. copy the Community folder to another drive and then I launch the sim, and it tells me that there is a mandatory update and then automatically takes me to the update page. Once that update (installer?) has downloaded, I then get into MSFS and it downloads and installs the update. I am one of the lucky ones who have had very few problems and whether this is just luck or not remains to be seen, but it would seem to be relevant, at least to me. By the way. the installer is fast but the update took about 90 minutes on a 50 mb internet connection. Regards Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard.
