Default Shift-xx Views

Featured Replies

Hello,

There are a number of Shift-xx views in XPlane 11, from Shift-1 (Linear Spot) thru Shift-9 (cockpit look). Is there a way within XPlane itself to change the default camera position for each of these views? For example, if I referred to have the Shift-4 view be more toward a tail view, rather than the side view I currently get.

I know I can set up Quick Look views, and also aware of the fine X-Camera plugin, but just wondering if there is a way to change those default Shift-views.

Regards,

Mike

I do not know if this is helpful to you, but I have set up all my interior views using the control Number pad number, and access them via the number pad number. note that you need to have the number pad on constantly and that, can be a pain in posterior region for everything else you use the keyboard for. I believe that this is the normal "set and save" method for camera control in XPlane.

I have then mapped a yoke button on my Saitek Yoke, to "outside view" and that is controlled by my pan button.  This may well be a little limiting in the final analysis, but it suits me just fine.

Hi Tony,,

Thanks for the reply. It's given me a couple new fresh ideas to explore.
