April 17, 20215 yr Hi! Tried out the new FlyByWire A32NX 0.6.0 today. But the pushback never starts using Pushback Express. The tug connects, there is a small shake, but then it is stuck. Tried several times by restarting PBE, but with no success. The inbuilt pushback in the new FBW A32NX works without problem however. Any clues to this issue? Is it some setting I should do in the cockpit apart from turning on/turning off the brakes? I am using PBE 2.0 Best regards Jan Jönsson Edited April 17, 20215 yr by janjoensson

FBW v.6 monkies up pushback system used by PBE. I'll ask the FBW devs. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
April 17, 20215 yr Commercial Member Okay, I just sent the FBW devs Pushback Express. I'm sure they'll make the required adjustments shortly. Cheers, Edited April 17, 20215 yr by byork B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
April 18, 20215 yr Commercial Member Okay, so I spoke to the FBW devs regarding the change they made in V0.6. They'll issue a fix. Not sure when it will be in the "stable" version. However, the interim work-around solution is very easy. Do NOT be in the Ground Service Page in the A320's EFB when you call for the pushback via Pushback Express (being in that page forces the stock tug into 'wait' mode, which explains why it tripped up Pushback Express). You can be in another other EFB page, just not that the Ground Services page, when calling for a PBE pushback. Cheers, Edited April 18, 20215 yr by byork B. Apart from this small issue I use the PBE with every flight 🙂 Best regards Jan
April 18, 20215 yr Don't know if it is the FBW v6 update or the MSFS 1,15.8.0 one,but I've lost all my FBW converted textures, all the aircraft skins are white, yet the textures have the correct paths and cfg files pointing to the dedicated FBW folder. I've also lost all my custom camera views that took hours to setup. Just once, it would be nice to get a MSFS update and not have to play with settings and aircraft mods to get it back to what it was before the update. YBCG
April 18, 20215 yr Commercial Member That would be one for FBW. But MSFS is still in its infancy, so constant changes are just par for the course. Just be happy Asobo is dedicated to updating it and not forgetting about it 😉 B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
April 22, 20215 yr Any News about that? I have a problem with disconnecting the tug. It starts normal as usual but sometimes when I tell the driver after pushback "Parking Brake Set" there is no response and the Airbus shakes a little bit (using A3NX with experimental and not beeing in the Ground page at EFB) till now everything worked perfect 🙂 Edited April 22, 20215 yr by Commander_K

But the interim work-around is to simply not be on the Ground Services Pushback page in the FBW's EFB when calling for the pushback. You can be on any other page in the EFB, just not that one, when using Pushback Express. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
June 3, 20215 yr Hi all, as far as I can see this workaround is no longer working, at least not on the Dev version of a32nx. I raised a issue with the Devs on git hub and they confirmed that the are no longer setting the parking brake variable, PBE needs to be updated to look for all brake variables not just parking... https://github.com/flybywiresim/a32nx/issues/4984#issuecomment-853306047

The other day FBW changed the variable for the Parking Brake from the stock one to a custom one. We're on it. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
