My latest problem is that every time I get to 1% scenery  load the system crashes.

Any ideas please, as I don't want reload the lot again

Please give us the specifications of your system. Without this it is impossible to provide any help whatsoever!

Blind guess here...  Might possibly be the recent Nvidia driver update.   I had to fallback to a version before the one released on 3/30/2021 (I am on 461.92 now).

It's the NVIDIA driver,  Rol lit back and your problem will be solved,
