June 6, 20223 yr Commercial Member The newest version favors Wind direction, but still considers other factors. However, if you're flying a 747 and a 3000 ft runway is directly aligned with the wind and a 10000 ft runway has a 30 degree offset, you would still want the 10000 ft runway. Dave
