Thanks to all three of you for your comments/help.  It doesn't seem simple when all you have is a mess but you manage to make it seem straightforward.

I've made the changes to the ,cfg file and I'm mulling over the idea of reinstalling the aircraft.

First thing is to sort out the bezel buttons.  So another morning trawling the forum.  Hey ho.
