Thanks for any assistance! -Rich What sim are you using, and what sounds in particular -- some examples might help. If you are using P3D4 or P3D5, default sim sounds are controlled by the sound sliders under Options>General>Sounds. Custom sounds, on the other hand, go through the Win10 system and can be controlled using the Volume Mixer which you can open by right clicking on the sound speaker icon (usually in the right corner of the task bar) and then opening the volume mixer and looking for P3D. May 20, 20215 yr Author Hi Al, First , Thanks for the offer of assistance! I .use Windows 7 and my sim is P3D4.5. I use a headset to communicate with Vox-ATCX and Ultimate Ground Crew-X. But the Aircraft cabin sounds are way too loud. If I lower the cabin sounds for Lear with the sliders from the volume mixer then the other sounds like Vox and the ground crew are lowered also. This is why I asked in my original post if the sounds could be lowered from some configuration or ini file.. the sounds are from the virtual cockpit and are annoyingly loud. Again, Thanks -Rich Regards, Polymerman http://www.ureach.com/polymermanhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCu_zeEUvH6_33EI0tuBTfRw

May 20, 20215 yr Commercial Member Al told you how to adjust the sounds. First off the Lear has some customs sounds that in real life are extremely loud. Like when the gear is down. So don't expect this to be set too low like our other customs sounds like click switches. So open the Windows mixer and adjust only the sim volume not the windows or other programs. Now open the sims options for sounds and adjust the sliders to increase those sounds. If they do not get loud enough raise the mixer level slightly. Now you can adjust any other 3rd party sounds from where they adjust or the mixer to balance out all sounds. Let us know how this works as this is how we adjust the sounds. May 20, 20215 yr Author Thanks guys for the replies but these solutions have been tried and don't work. I only have two mixers the earphone just for communications and my speakers.. Unfortunately the cabin sounds come through my headset and not my speakers. Regards, Polymerman http://www.ureach.com/polymermanhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCu_zeEUvH6_33EI0tuBTfRw
May 20, 20215 yr Author To clarify I can put all the P3D4 sliders to zero and still have no change in the cabin volume sound in my headset. I can lower the sound with windows slider but won't be able to hear VOX-ATC/x or other voice interacting apps. -Rich Regards, Polymerman http://www.ureach.com/polymermanhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCu_zeEUvH6_33EI0tuBTfRw
May 20, 20215 yr Author I found a solution. For windows 7 there is an app called Volume 2 and is similar to a windows 10 app called Ear Trumpet. The app has separate sliders for most sounds. The one that affects the cabin sounds for the learjet is the lockheed martin slider and it doesn't affect the switch click sounds.
