Not at all, you're good.  I just want AP for these planes so I can do some external sightseeing 😉

I can't help with AP, but a "poor man's AP" can be added in the form of rudder trim quite easily : in the flight_model.cfg file, in the AIRPLANE_GEOMETRY section, modify :

rudder_trim_limit = 0

to 

rudder_trim_limit = 5

Now the plane with react to rudder trim commands, either through Simconnect or keyboards shortcuts. You can tweak the value for more / less autority.

Actually, if you just want to go external for screenies, simply knock the sim speed down to it's lowest speed, or even pause it completely and away you go:

I actually managed to land it on that beach you can see just after this screenie was taken. It's a really fun aeroplane to fly.
