June 2, 20215 yr When I play chess on the Internet, which I do most days, it's a bit embarrassing at the end when it tells you how many blunders you have made. So nice to see that even the best chess players in the world make blunders. Can't believe he just left his Bishop undefended.

June 2, 20215 yr True story. I was the alien who taught the residents how to play chess. I was stationed at the bomb dump at Yokota Air Force Base in Japan. Because I could speak Japanese pretty well I supervised our Japanese laborers. Some of us played chess in the break room during lunch. The Japanese laborers watched us. They were fascinated by the game. One of them asked me to teach him how to play. I did. He became quite good at it. Then the others wanted to play. I went to the base exchange and bought a couple of chess sets for them to play on. I taught another one the basic moves and before long they were teaching each other and playing each other. They loved the game. Within 6 months they had gotten so good none of us 'round eyes' could beat them. Oh, we would win occasional games, but they were much better at it than we were. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
