June 2, 20215 yr I still didn't understand what is the difference between refresh rate of 60Hz and 1-60 Hz in terms of flight simulator. I found this monitor https://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-Prestige-PS341WU-Creator-5120x2610/dp/B07YCWMSBF. It is written 60 Hz, but in another website they say 60-165Hz. It is really confused when we have different information for the same product... When we talk about 60Hz, should we always understand 1-60Hz? By the way, is this a good one for FS? June 2, 20215 yr 1-60 means that the monitor can support refresh rates between those 2 numbers. Perfect for 30 Hz... A lot of people advised monitors with a fixed rate of 60 Hz. I still do not understand why. If frames drop to 25, 30, 35 or 40, a G-Sync native from 1 to 60 is better than a fixed rate to 60 Hz, correct?

Perfect for 30 Hz 1-60 would mean that it's most likely true G-Sync and you don't even think about 30hz, just let G-sync do its thing. 1 hour ago, harpsi said: If frames drop to 25, 30, 35 or 40, a G-Sync native from 1 to 60 is better than a fixed rate to 60 Hz, correct? Absolutely correct. The problem is many people unknowingly buy a G-Sync "compatible" monitor that has the variable refresh rate that starts at 48hz or so which does you no favors in P3d or MSFS as it's common to run well below that. i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024
