P3D not starting after doing the Client 5.2 update

Featured Replies

I uninstalled the old client and installed the new one as per the instructions. Now the sim won't show, not even the set up screen. I look in Processes and it says it is running but I see no sign of it anywhere. Anyone else has this problem?

There is a sticky at the top of the Prepar3d forum about an issue with Latin VFR KFLL and 5.2. Have you checked there?

I have the same problem. I don't have Latin VFR KFLL installed at all. The process runs in the background but in fact the program crashes at the end of the startup. Nothing in the event viewer.

Problem solved: I had to fully uninstall FSLabs, the whole 1.7 GB. So far, impressed with the gain in performance.

Did you try disabling FSLabs aircraft in the add-on menu first? Would doing so have worked instead?

I'm tempted to install v5.2, but I know that the FSLabs aircraft are not compatible (yet). I really don't want to uninstall my FSLabs aircraft and all their liveries.

Does anyone know if simply unchecking the entry (or entries?) in the add-on menu works?

Yes, I tried but it didn't work. A full uninstall was required.

Thanks, @gporzio. I may just end up uninstalling my FSLabs and installing 5.2 ... my curiosity is getting the better of me. 🙂
