  1. Good idea, I don't restart my PC often but I do have a habit or running GSX live update and opening aircraft and store launchers before I run the sim.
  2. This happened to me a few times with the Blackbox BN2 islander for MSFS 2024. If in the passengers option of Simbrief I select the full pax number, I got the error. If I manually type in the passenger number or type in one less than the full amount, it loads the weight fine. Might be worth trying that.
  3. Did you buy directly from their store? Could be a glitch with their website. Just checked my downloads on Simmarket they work fine. The last post on their Facebook page was 3 days ago so they're still active. I would say wait a while and try again.
  4. Seems they didn't update their post purchase message to reflect the new reality. Hopefully they fix that soon.
  5. Open up OC3 on your PC and it will be there to download. PMDG OC works like steam now.
  6. If you only downloaded a few of the base items like aircraft, use the drop down arrow and only select those items that have "update available" highlighted. If you select the Base Packages item and hit update it will download the 156GB, you don't need that, just select the items you downloaded before.
  7. See the blog post here. If you had it in MSFS 2020, you get it for $2.
  8. Looking back to 2024 when I decided to increase my RAM to 64GB and my gaming SSD to a 2TB Samsung, seems it was a good call given the cycle we are in now. I would suggest anyone planning storage or RAM upgrades to take advantage of the holiday sales (and work bonuses/dividends) and do them now. Prices coming down won't happen before end of 26 or early 27 earliest if you follow the trends.
  9. https://www.prepar3d.com/fuse/fuse_faq/#where-can-i-purchase-prepar3d-fuse Seems for now can only be acquired with one of LM's training packages. There is a link to join a waitlist for news of a standalone version. Bummer, I was willing to give it a try. The FAQ does also state that current P3D addons aren't compatible but they've had success updating them to the new platform.
  10. Saw this link on the main Prepar3d page https://www.prepar3d.com/fuse/ Is this new?
  11. Just saw the short in my Youtube feed and came to see if anyone posted. Will be interesting to see what's kept LM quiet for almost 2 years.
  12. I've found sometimes you have to exit stream and then start back up for new builds to show up if its just been released.
  13. FrankSalo replied to Fielder's topic in Hangar Chat
I want one thats Epyon themed.
  14. Going to purchase this next week. I'd love to see a repaint of PJ-WIK. https://www.airhistory.net/photo/417831/PJ-WIK
  15. Thrustmaster and the like will be doing well if they release PS5 compatible joysticks and hardware. Devs who sell through the in sim marketplace will do good as well. Just 15 years ago we thought flight sim was pretty much done, now we've got MSFS and an ultra real world on PC, Xbox, PS5 with a thriving developer ecosystem, new peripherals and fantastic freeware for PC. A moment of respect to our friends who did not get to see this time.
  16. In MSFS 2024, go to the Marketplace, then click on "Library". Scroll through and you may see some of your missing planes marked as "disabled". Select the item and at the bottom click "enable" and it will be available in the library when you restart the sim. Additionally, you can select "download" for the aircraft so that it resides on your local disk instead of being streamed. This takes up disk space and is your choice.
  17. My exact thought. Maybe just as the tech reached to the point to make a flying Wing practical in the B-2 and now B-21, maybe the Ekranoplan concept may get a new lease on life.
  18. The entire line from A319 to A321 has the BFU to the new standard.
  19. For me using MSFS2024 the build number for the release is V2.4.0.1986. The number 1986 stood out to me (80's babies) and I did a little search. Some notable things about year 1986 for Airbus: The A330 and 340 programs were approved by the supervisory board. Northwest airlines made a deal to purchase A320 aircraft (Northwest being traditionally a Boeing customer) Airbus predecessor companies began work on the Eurofighter. Twinjet ETOPS rules were upped from 60min to 120min which benefitted the A300 and the to be developed A330. Not saying it was intentional, but still pretty fun to see. Thank to the Fenix team for a great aircraft set.
  20. On my machine in MSFS 2024 the A350 runs fine, no crashes even letting it do a long haul overnight while I sleep. The FBW A380 I get VRAM pop ups even with the cabin disabled via click spot and medium settings at 1440p. That's on an Asus B550-F Mobo with 64GB RAM and a 16GB RTX 4070ti Super. I like FBW but you're right about optimization in 2024. Can't fault them as they're a volunteer group and what they've accomplished so far is almost miraculous. But if iniBuilds can pull off an A380 comparable to the current iteration of the A350 before FBW can get rebuilt for 2024, then I'm buying.
  21. For those getting CTD's, have you deleted the content of the Cache, Scenery Index and Streamed Packages folder? Its possible there are older files in there that are conflicting with the newer files.
  22. Its interesting how the ATR has outlived the Dash 8. In the Caribbean region, all the carriers that used Dash-8s in the 90's and 2000's are now fully ATR. On topic, flying the Q400 again in a modern sim will be quite an experience. Whenever it launches, I'll more than likely buy it.
  23. It may be redundant but did you delete all the contents of the Streamed Packages folder, clear the cache in app data and reboot the pc? Wouldn't hurt to try.
  24. Did you delete the cache and scenery indexes? That may help.
  25. WT had responded to this either on these forums or another media that the change was to implement APIs (including the Asobo EFB) that allowed connections to more options and not just simbrief. It just seems that with a few other default 2024 birds, the implementation isn't fully fleshed out yet or documented for 3rd parties.
