June 12, 20214 yr Hi All, I just pulled the trigger and purchased Pilot2ATC as it seemed like it might be a nice change and bring more flexibility than Pro ATC X. After a day of messing around with Windows and microphones I finally get that sorted. I've also used the Taxi manager to import the gates and taxiways for my first planned flight from EHAM (FlyTampa) to KORD (FSDT). Both processes seemed to go well and showed up on the map with correctly alligned runways, taxiways and gates. However, despite clearing me for a departure off Runway 18L - and assigning me a STAR for 18L the taxiway instructions took me to 18R. See image below... Any ideas why and what I can do to avoid this? In this image I ignored the taxiway instructions and taxied to the real 18L to check if it would let me take off. It didn't and I had to taxi all the way to 18R before I got switched to tower.... June 12, 20214 yr Commercial Member I would need to see the P2A log file for the flight to figure out what happened in this particular case. In general, if you set the "Force Pilot Runway Selection" option in Config, it should ensure you get assigned the same runway that you planned the SID for. Otherwise, ATC might reassign a different runway, but that would be the runway that Clearance gives you in the "expect runway xxx" portion of the clearance. Other interactions might also trigger a different runway assignment. Dave
June 13, 20214 yr Author I’m away from the PC so will have to get the log file next week. I guess what confused me was tha5 I never requested a change of runway. Clearance gave me 18L , can me a SID for 18L and then gave me taxi instructions to what it considered 18L.....it’s just that what it considers 18L is actually 18R...... odd Kael Oswald 9950X3D/ 64GB DDR5 6200 @ CL30 / Custom Water Loop / RTX 5090 / 3 x 48" LG C4 OLEDs
