A short flight in Peru

Featured Replies

Following a conversation on the MFS forum with @Cpt_Piett, my flight of today in Peru.

A very short flight, 44 nm as the crow flies, from, let me take a breath, Coronel FAP Alfredo Mendívil Duarte Airport  (SPHO 8917 feet) in Ayacucho to San Francisco (SPPE 2350 feet) where starts the immense forest which goes all the way to the Atlantic.  Make no mistake it is not  flying 6000 feet downhill as you have to cross a mountain barrier with peaks as high as 14 000 feet.

Leaving Ayacucho

Now down to business : descend into the clouds with always an eye to an escape route. My idea of VFR fun.

Lovely trip....I'll need to remember to have the oxygen on if I  try that! ( I "passed out" in XP11 over Mt. Blanc once 🙂 )
