June 16, 20214 yr Moderator I know the PBY Catalina is capable of lowering the gear in the water and taxiing onto land. I tried it in the G44 but the gear wouldn't lower and basically beached the aircraft. I know the Cat and the Goose can taxi up and down a water ramp so I assume the Widgeon will to. I ask because someone from Asobo told Mark water to/from land transitions are not currently supported in MSFS and leads to a crash if Crash is turned on. Al Edited June 16, 20214 yr by ark

I know the real a/c does it and the P3D version did it. But if Asobo says they're not supported - well, we'll have to wait for the modders to come forward. Thanx! I just tried going from water to land in the MSFS default Icon -- didn't work, landing gear didn't go down and I was 'grounded'.🤕 Al Edited June 16, 20214 yr by ark

There are no seaplane bases with water runways, no wake effects, the water steering is a kludge. Just another thing we need to keep asking for so Asobo puts it in the job jar.
