MY NEW ALIENWARE 7500

Featured Replies

Thanks for all the responses, you guys are all very nice and helpful.I did shell out alot of money for this (close to 8k). I know most ofyou are thinking Im nuts but I can aford it. Im selling my golf cart and that will take it down some. But here is the deal. I love playing computer games. I play flightsims, shooters, rts, rpg and racing ( Im into gtr2 what a killer sim).I also wanted a system that I can upgrade too. This system can handle8.5 gigs of ram and you don't have to install in identical pairs.I know I paid too much for a PC that I will mainly only use for games, but I like everything cranked up and running smooth. The games todayare getting really good graphically and I just want to enjoy them.Anyway thanks for your help.TY

Once it's installed and FSX is up and running, stop back by here and let us know how it's doing. I think there are many of us that would like to know.Doug

Enjoy your new computer, would love to know how it handles FSX.

Ty,I'm sure you will get mega-pleasure out of the 7500 - I dont have too much experience on the AMD dual-core's having chosen the dual-core Intel route - however, I'm sure it's no slacker, given AMD's previous 'hard-core-gamers' preference - the dual GPU should sweeten the pot quite well. That's my next upgrade, when they start producing DX10 compatible dual SLI at reasonable prices (I dont have a golf cart - but the clubs may not be in the garage too long :))For anyone interested, here is a review of Ty's awesome 'alien' :http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2005/07/1...are_7800/1.htmlTy, You should also consider buying 'GhostRecon' (GRAW2) Advanced War fighter there is a 'drone' that you can control, in it - for some cool first person shooter action :)Gee, I guess we are all kid's at heart (I'm 60 Years young -cough!)Happy Flying/Shooting/Racing/Anything :)Terry
