And when he says "jet" its not clear if he means ducted fan or a true electric jet engine. If the later, again, miles away from enough energy density in the batteries. If he means ducted fan, then to fly supersonic you need high altitude to do so efficiently and ducted fans don't work well at high altitude. I conclude he is talking through his bottom hole.
