CTD trying to create local cache

Featured Replies

I have never created a local cache before but as I have a pretty poor connection speed thought it would be a good idea to try for central London. The download got to about 17% then crashed to desktop. Restarted MSFS and the 17% was still there so pressed resume and it immediately crashed again. I always have photogeometry turned off due to my poor download speed, should I turn it on to create this local cache or can anybody suggest another reason for these crashes?

Hi Pete

You’ve an excellent guide here

You do have enough space on your disk including for buffering the download ?

MYSTERY SOLVED

Although ORBX London City Airport and ORBX London enhancement claims to work hand in hand with the latest MSFS, it was conflicting with my downloading of High Res data and since I uninstalled both ORBX add ons, the Local Cache updates successfully. Thanks ORBX (not).
