July 24, 20214 yr So, I was flying the Airbus 320 from KCVG (Cincinnati, Ohio) to KATL (Atlanta, Ga) High altitude IFR. All went fine until about 10 miles from KATL, and the plane just went dark. All instruments went black and I lost all power. Needless to say, it was a crash and burn. Any ideas what might have happened?
July 24, 20214 yr Asobo bus or FlyByWire? If the later, there was a bug in their discord about double engine flameouts. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with accidentally nudging your flight yoke mixture lever or not, but if you have discord it's worth a shot asking them there so that you can avoid this issue in the future. Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune. There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
July 24, 20214 yr Author Running out of fuel was my first thought, but I should still have electrical power I would think. Everything went black. Thanks for the replies.
July 25, 20214 yr Author Virtual-Chris. No, the RAT did not deploy. I was on final, about to catch the glide scope. When everything went dark, nothing came back on. I sunk like a brick.
