Transitioning in the Icon

Featured Replies

In Flight, you could take the Icon and go from land to water and vice versa, but I've never found a way to do that in MSFS.  Is it possible?

Before sim update 5, you could start on land, taxi into the water and then retract the landing gear. It wasn't possible to do it in reverse though, because you couldn't extend the gear while in the water.

We'll see if any of this changed with today's update.

Really?  Just today I found a little water launching spot and as I taxied along it, all of a sudden got a message I'd crashed into the water.

Alright, maybe that worked for me because I usually have the crash detection off. Not sure if I ever tried it with crashes set to on.

The new update has added a bunch of water starts in the US and Canada.

it has but I believe there is a bug that is you lower gear while in the water, say to transition to land, then take off from the water again the water effects are still displayed after you get into the air
