External freelook camera - pan speed after SU5

Featured Replies

Anyone else notice the external freelook pan speed sliders don't have an effect? I have my hat switch assigned to the "look" views, and tried changing the external camera settings in the main menu / the sim toolbar (sliding vs clicking, saving profiles etc.) but it seems stuck at one slow speed. Used to work in the previous build.

Yes. It is vary annoying.  You can no longer control the speed of the drone either.  I think this is on purpose to reduce stutters when moving around quickly, so the user perceive the game as being 'smoother'.  I hate it.

Thanks for confirming (also saw a few other reports on the official forums). Will open a ticket because the slider does nothing.

Make sure you've downloaded ALL the content from your content manager.  Strangely this does affect things.  Also, if you move the drone speed to 100% it DOES reset somehow to the slowest speed, so set it to just under 100% and you should be fine.  Free look is fine for me.

Thanks for the tips Jeff - giving that a try now...
