July 30, 20214 yr OMG... I just listened to the ATIS at KLIT and it advertised "Sky Clear" instead of the usual bogus three layers. Unfortunately the dewpoint was still stuck at 10 and ATC is still assigning downwind runways; but looks like progress is slowly being made.
July 30, 20214 yr I noticed that too, unfortunately in my case the sky wasn't actually clear. On the bright side is nice to hear some different sky conditions, but it seems there's still a disconnect between ATIS and what's actually being rendered. Brian W KPAE
July 30, 20214 yr I’m just about to depart from KFXE, ATIS reported overcast. Skies overhead are clear though I can see overcast off in the distance. I wonder where it pulls the cloud condition information from?
