Keyboard bindings for Ready to Fly and Resume

Featured Replies

Does anyone know how to bind ‘Ready to Fly’ and ‘Resume’ post SU 5 and post patch (ie in 1.18.14.0)? Seems to be possible via mouse clicks only.

It used to be ‘Enter’ and ‘Esc’ pre SU 5 which I found convenient for my setup.

Thanks.

Also, ‘Continue’ used to be accessible by the keyboard ‘Enter’ key but it appears that ‘Continue’ can be selected only with a mouse click now.

I learned from a recent thread that the keyboard binding for "Resume" is SET PAUSE OFF.

Has anyone discovered a keyboard binding for "Ready to Fly" ?

1A Binding for stop flight motion and go to the Options screen is : TOGGLE PAUSE (or the Escape key).

1B Binding for Pause but stay in the flight is : SET PAUSE ON

2 After either 1A or 1B, to leave pause and return to the flight is: SET PAUSE OFF *

3 Binding for stop flight motion and go to active pause (or vice versa, go back to flight) is : TOGGLE ACTIVE PAUSE

==========

*  NOTE: It used to be that TOGGLE PAUSE would get you to the options screen and then that same binding would get you back to the flight. But this is no longer true. After a recent sim update, TOGGLE PAUSE is now only a one way ticket to the options screens. It will not return you to the flight (and neither will the Escape key). In order to return you must use SET PAUSE OFF (or use a mouse click). In other words TOGGLE PAUSE used to be a toggle, but now it no longer is. But TOGGLE ACTIVE PAUSE is still a toggle.

I never use mouse clicks for any of these, and I never use the escape key.  I use 1A, 1B, 2, and 3 bindings instead.

Example: If you are in flight and command SET PAUSE ON, then your throttle will not affect the engine RPM and your plane will not move thru the sky. And then if you now command SET PAUSE OFF, the flight continues thru the sky and the throttle now works. But you would not have left the flight nor gone to the Options screen.

If you are in flight and command TOGGLE PAUSE (or use the Escape key), the exact same thing will happen except you will leave the flight and go to the Options screen.

As you know, Active Pause is different than the above two examples.
