FBW A320NX (Dev)

Featured Replies

I can load up at a gate reliably with the last dev (.62 I believe) installed after clearing the working folder.  However autoland makes a valiant attempt to fly the bird into the ground on the two occasions I've tried.  Anyone else experiencing this?  Could it be I'm not programming the barometer correctly?

Don't quote me, but I think the autoland uses the radar altimeter, not the barometer, for the last part the sequence.

It is noted that if there is a significant slope to the land (up or down) prior to the threshold, things may not work well. Also, FBW has said that you need at least 17 fps for the autoland to work properly.

Yesterday, I tried an autoland at Newark that did not go well (hard touchdown) but that was probably because I had about 9 FPS at the time. Made some adjustments this morning and did the same approach, much smoother at 25 fps.
