Does anyone know exactly what the existing "patch" linked on the fsinsider site does to FSX to make improvements?

Yes, thanks for your prompt reply. I read all that but what I am trying to avoid is undoing the tweaks I have already applied. Does this (the patch) duplicate the Richard Ludowise, Luis F

Soon is relative. However, for those of you with beta accounts, I would be watching the beta forums next week. At the very least I will post about our progress next week. My schedule is complicated by GDC and meetings next week, so patience is greatfully appreciated.

One thing I hope the patch will fix is FSX un-regeristing itself that is madding. I get tried of reinstalling it only to have it do the same thing over again in a couple of days.

Unfortunately for this issue, we havent done any activation work in SP1.Keep reporting it, though, and as we get more reports that changes the priority. And who knows what the future brings :-).

Phil,The blurb on FSInsider about the expansion pack said it will take advantage of Vista and DX10. Does this mean that those will be necessary to use the expansion pack, or will it run with XP/DX9?thanks,Chris

XPack will run on XP or Vista, DX9 or DX10.And the DX10 update will be available separately, you wont have to purchase XPack to get DX10.

Hi Phil, if we don't install X-Pack but do install DX10, will we get cloud shadows?
