August 14, 20214 yr I'm a previous owner of FSX and interested in getting FS2020. My Son want's to buy it for me as a gift but he lives in USA and I live in Australia. Looking at the description of the installation and registration procedures, it is somewhat confusing for me regarding the possibility of gifting it internationally. He doesn't think he can buy it in USA as a gift for Australian use and I don't know what is possible if purchased as a gift on Steam. I'm concerned at references to the registration procedure requiring the original purchaser's address. Is there anyone who can advise what is possible? Thanks, Warren. Warren

Some games are region locked due to the discrepancy of pricing between countries. When your son goes on Steam to purchase it will advise if the game is region locked at checkout and to which countries. See link for more info https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/58D3-B80D-2943-3CC6 EDIT: He may be able to change his country store to Australia and purchase that way but I'm not sure. You can always reach out to Steam Support for guidance. Edited August 14, 20214 yr by joec63 Semper Fi
August 14, 20214 yr If he wants to buy it as a gift, to be safe I'd buy it through the Microsoft store as I know there is an option to buy it as a gift on there.
