When flying at night with VATSIM I'm not seeing aircraft position lights, beacon, etc. I can see the other aircraft taxiing, but no lights. Gotta be a setting somewhere, right? Flying the FBW A320

I also noticed something similar in daylight, Vatsim aircraft simply aren't visible unless you're on the ground at an airport. I wonder if the SU5 performance degradation included cutting aircraft draw distance?

Sorry, but I DO SEE other VATSIM aircraft airborne.  Several times I observe VATSIM traffic on TCAS radar and when they are within a few miles, I switch to an outside view and observe them passing.  I have also watched VATSIM aircraft depart and land and yes they are visible in the air. (even watched one as his landing gear retracted on takeoff, very cool).  

However, one thing I have observed is the AI lights are NOT visible and thanks to Waldo Pepper's post above, I'm going to try that fix and see if it works.

Oh, I can see other aircraft in Vatsim, just not their lights. Realism goes to poo poo if you cant see the other aircraft on the ground or in the air at night. Before I even breathe on the Community folder, let me know if this fix works for you. Last time I jacked with the community folder, other than installing the FBW A320, the game started crashing. Liveries, such as the MegaPak stuff, just did not work. Followed, what seemed to be a cut and dry, just put this file in the folder didn't work. The game never saw any of those liveries touted on the Megapak. But what did occur during those few days of trying to get the United Gold livery to work, I experienced multiple back to back CTD's over a 3 day period. I got everything out of the Community folder except the FBW A320. All works fine now. Only 1 crash in the last 15 sessions. And that crash occured whilst making a second flight in the aircraft without restarting the session. Thanks for your reply and I'll be anxious to learn if the fix worked for you.
