February 22, 200719 yr I emailed LeClerq. That's FSX, not live.He is using the Alpes Nord scenery from FranceVFR.He sent me a bunch of other screenshots...I'm trying to see if he'll let me post them...
February 22, 200719 yr I can see that it's not real, but the especially the trees look amazing.Keep the shots coming. Screenshots and videos say so much more than a million words.Pat
February 22, 200719 yr I was 99% sure it wasn't real, but Gawd. Here are some more screenshots he sent me.http://img01.picoodle.com/img/img01/7/2/20...49m_b0a3849.jpghttp://img01.picoodle.com/img/img01/7/2/20...50m_3485147.jpghttp://img01.picoodle.com/img/img01/7/2/20...51m_a01568d.jpghttp://img01.picoodle.com/img/img01/7/2/20...52m_bf1a902.jpghttp://img01.picoodle.com/img/img01/7/2/20...53m_be8b432.jpghttp://img01.picoodle.com/img/img01/7/2/20...56m_3d2760a.jpghttp://img01.picoodle.com/img/img01/7/2/20...58m_986edc0.jpghttp://img01.picoodle.com/img/img01/7/2/20...59m_8bf6fc6.jpghttp://img01.picoodle.com/img/img01/7/2/20...63m_22a20e0.jpgAnd a French forum where he discusses the genesis of TreeX:http://libertysim.net/forum/viewtopic.php?...der=asc&start=0
February 22, 200719 yr Ooooh, nice. This is one of the best sceneries I have seen so far.Without being cynical, but that must run at 5fps with that water and the number of trees?
February 22, 200719 yr One nice thing about the scenery is that it uses photo-realistic textures, but then they put custom Autogen objects on top of the textures...so you get the best of both worlds. They do the same thing for St. Martin and St. Barts. And the trees are phat.
February 22, 200719 yr Agreed. However, do the textures of those photo-realistic sceneries change with the seasons?Pat
February 22, 200719 yr Here is their site Google translated into English:http://translate.google.com/translate?u=ht...Flanguage_toolsSummer textures only.
February 22, 200719 yr JackDanielsDinker What size textures did you install 512 x 512 or was it less.Chuck
February 22, 200719 yr I will install 512 tonight. The pics I posted are from the TreeX package and from the author.
February 22, 200719 yr I'm a bit confused. Are the trees a free file, or are they part of a payware package?
February 22, 200719 yr How did they get the water that coloration? Is that part of the photograph they used? That can't be waterclass water color. I have never been able to achieve that "slate-gray" water look using any waterclass color.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2310 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 2.5-3-3-8 (1T), WD 250 gig 7200 rpm SATA2, CoolerMaster Praetorian case Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
February 23, 200719 yr Thank you Aime Leclerq !Your trees both added a couple FPS (256x256) and are very nice looking !Thanks again,Dom
February 23, 200719 yr Author Anyone get out of memory errors running this one? I reduced the trees to 2500-still no joy.http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
February 23, 200719 yr It's not any waterclass shade I've seen. It has to be photoscenery, and the water color has to come from their photo. That's how the Portland scenery was done, with it's great water.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2310 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 2.5-3-3-8 (1T), WD 250 gig 7200 rpm SATA2, CoolerMaster Praetorian case Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
