February 24, 200719 yr the HSI on the Mooney Bravo does not turn properly when the aircraft is turning in slew mode. The HSI turns at a much slower rate than the actual turning of the aircraft resulting in an erroneous reading on the heading when switching back from slew to normal. The only way to reset the HSI after exiting slew mode is to reselect the aircraft from the menu. Try it and see.John
February 24, 200719 yr The other simple fix is don't slew - it breaks normality in the first place!Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
February 24, 200719 yr Author How true! However, I only use slew to positon my aircraft on the ground for a good starting position (parking spot) and then save the flight for future use. I don't like the default parking spots.
February 24, 200719 yr On many aircraft synchronising the HSI is a manual operation as part of the pre-flight and startup. You'd be amazed how many thing in FS you take for granted are actually an OVER-simplification of the real thing.;)Allcott
February 24, 200719 yr Have you got your engine running and avionics switched on before you slew? I noticed in FS9 that I would get this problem if I slewed the aircraft before firing up the donk and switching the avionics on. You could always taxi the aircraft to your chosen spot and direction then switch the donk and electrics off before saving.Bon Voyage John Rig: Gigabyte B550 AORUS Master Motherboard, AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT CPU, 32GB DDR4 Ram, Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Graphics, Samsung Odyssey wide view display (5120 x 1440 pixels) with VSYNC on.
February 24, 200719 yr Author Thanks for the input. I believe that most of the time the engine/avionics are off before I slew. I appreciate your help!
