Y see that at MSFS you can save and load  *.pln and *.flt files, which is the diference between them  ?

The PLN files simply save a flight plan you can load later with any aircraft and weather. Handy if for example you regularly fly from your home airport to a nearby town in a variety of different aircraft.

The FLT files save your current settings including aircraft type and where it is located.  For example if you save a FLT while floating on a lake in the Icon A5, when you later reload it you will be back floating on the same lake in the Icon.

If you create a flight from the main window (Welcome) with departure from any point on the map, instead of from a runway, and then save it before you fly, then when you click on the .pln file you will be up in the sky at 1500 feet. If you have not set an arrival, then you will have no plan to fly and can randomly fly anywhere and land anywhere. More importantly, you can also change the weather, time of day, season, etc. from up in the overhead handlebar . You can't change those things if you click on a .flt file to create a flight.

You can save them to anywhere you want, it gives you the choice.
