Enforced Installation on C Drive

Featured Replies

I've just purchased the FS2Crew FBW A32NX Project app. I do not like being forced to install the app on the C drive, my C drive is used only to contain the OS files, Everything else, including program files are scattered on other drives. I therefore am not happy that I have no choice but to install your app on the already bulging C drive. This is a definite disincentive to purchase other of your products. I also note that when I upgraded the Pushback Express app, this also uninstalled the app on the D drive, and relocated to the C drive. I know of no other apps, including all in the FltSim community that force installation into a specific location.

We install to Program Files because the Command Center needs a fail proof way to know where PBE is located in order to work properly.

If we allow people to install it anywhere, then we have to deal with broken file path issues when users inevitability start manually moving folders around, and so and so forth.

We're dealing with a large and complex user base operating in a complex eco system.  We have to keep things as simple as possible so they don't break, otherwise we'll spend half our day just trying to figure out what went wrong.

Best,
