Copy,  I will try this, thanks!

Yep, that's the point where it usually CTDs with a dodgy addon. I have 115 of them in my community folder so it took a few minutes to isolate mine.  Mine turned out to be my own fault for using an apostrophe in the folder name, so have a quick check to ensure that you only have valid names and no special characters.

CTD for me when looking at the new stuff/updates in the marketplace

This worked.   Now the task to isolate the culprit.   Is there one addon in particular that has been giving everyone issues?

I also have many, many files in the Community folder.  I will assume that the livery files are good and focus only on the none livery ones.

Are you not using Addons Linker?  It allows you to easily move Community folder items in and out at will.  I only position those that I specifically need for the current flight.  I consider it a step in flight planning.....

Why pull out your hair searching for what might be a needle in a haystack?

I wouldn't make that assumption.  Liveries have been responsible for a number of issues for people from one update to the next.

OK. Here is the skinny (pun fully intended).  I have a flight set for this afternoon from Merriville-Griffith (05C), Indiana, to Kansas City Wheeler (KMKC).  I will be flying the G58 Baron with my signature livery.  In Addons Linker I have positioned links  in my Community folder to addons for those two airports, and another to an addon scenery to the multiple stadium sports complex scenery just east of Kansas CIty. Then I have positioned the one livery I will fly, the AFC_Bridge for my Honeycomb Bravo throttle quadrant, the Navigraph nav data, and the popular shift-z mod.  That is it.  Nothing else.

What I have loaded is in the righthand window in the image below.  What you see in the lefthand window are the folders holding literally hundreds of accumulated addons I could position, but all that are relevant for this flight are loaded.

I don't need anything else for the flight.  If I find the airports look a bit sparse I can load up some scenery object libraries, but I do not load them unless the addon scenery creators for the airport indicated the need to do so.  As an example, the creator of the 05C airport used items from an enhanced night lighting addon library and some nearby radio towers from a enhanced VFR objects library.  I am not flying at night and I do not need additional radio towers.  The creator of KMKC has used some non-required features from the 42 Skypark product that is available on Orbx.  It appears to be a product that offers activities in conjunction with the airport.  Not interested.

So again, here is the skinny approach:

Fantastic, I will try this approach and it least will eventually help me determine the culprit addon, greatly appreciated.
